National Moving Network
Fraudulent moving referal service SCAM MIAMI FLORIDA

Due to few federal regulation governing household moving companies, people such as Randy GOldberg and the National Moving Netowrk are scamming too many people from their hard earned monies and their dreams of a better life.

My husband and I have moved from Vermont to Florida. We had planned this move carefully, though it is now apparent, not carefully enough. National Movers was contacted in March to move our belongings from Vermont on Sat May29th. We paid a deposit of $500 to move 4400 pounds (an overestimated amount by Javier Moyano our Cust. Rep.). We were told to have a cashier cheque waiting at the delivery for $1353.00. We have in writing this amount, along with a delivery date of Sat June 3 in Florida.

The delivery pick up never occurred when it was sched. For. My husband and I waited around the house for two days... Only on Mon May 31 (Memorial Day) did the movers arrive, asking if we wanted to still move them. Their 24 foot truck with Oklahoma license plates was already 3/4 filled with someone else's belongings. Since we were desperate and had to be out of the Vermont house by June 1st we had little choice. As they loaded as much as they could, leaving several items for us to dispose of (a mattress, two chairs, a tool box, flower boxes, lamps and a box of books).

The following day, we left for Florida, my parents driving our one car, my husband and I driving our Jeep. Each vehicle was loaded down with our moset valuable items which we could pack (our wedding silverware, my Grandmother's dishes, our pet cockatiel etc.). We arrived in Florida on Friday June 4th and rushed to the bank to issue a cashier's cheque as payment for the following day's deliver of our belongings. Nothing arrived. Never any phone calls from either the National Moving Network nor the actual movers All American Movers, based out of Texas. We called both compnaies on Sunday June 6th to only reach voice mail. On Mon June 7th @ 11.54 am I was finally (after repeaded voice mail messages) able to reach National Moving Network (spoke with Kim) to be told that we would rec've our shippment on Sat June 12th.

This game of "call and duck" continues to this day. Each Monday I attempt to call National Movers and All American Movers to reach voice mail, hang up and call again. Leaving voice mail messages is futile. Never, ever in this entire process have we rec'ved a phone call from either company. When my husband asked All American Movers why they do not stay in contact, we were told " well, we never have any good news, so why bother calling? Of and by the way, could you wire us half of the balance ($1353.00) due?" My husband explained that we have cashier's cheques totaling the agreed amount on our kitchen counter waiting for the delivery. That was what we were told to do. Is that anywhy to run a business? Will all of our worldly possessions in thier grip, we feel most helpless.

As of Monday July 12th we are still sleeping on an air mattress and living our of a suitcase with 4 days worth of clothing. Never has a discount been offered, nor appologies by both companies. Reaching a custommer relations personnel often means hanging up and calling again and again... This morning I telephoned 18 times with the recpetionist of customer relations at NAtional Movers hanging up on me, or voice mail or puts me on hold for times exceeding 20 minutes. And that is just the RECEPTIONIST! LAst week, on Tues July 6th @ 3.38pm Miguel, a dispatcher for National Movers Network told me that our belongings were on a truck heading south from New York City and that we could expect delivery either Sat July 10 or Sun July 11. Of course, today is Mon July 12th, and nothing has arrived.

Kim at National Movers is another one for telling tales. On Mon June 28th she informed me that we would rec've our shipment on SUnday July 3rd. Not only is this the Independence weekend, but July 3rd does not fall on a Sunday. Yet again, proof that National Moving Network tell you what you want to hear once they have rec'ved your deposit.

Avoid these companies at all costs. Beaware that they change their names frequently. Why will our federal law makers not step in and create legislation which governs this mafia driven industry?

And yes, while we wait for our belongings, we are afraid they they will not arrive in one piece and/or damaged. I would be willing to speak with anyone who has similar concerns. Contact me through the rebuttal key.
