I have a complaint against Sears credit... My husband purchased a tape measure from sears it costs around 22.00 then we moved sent a mail forwarding out and never received a statement.
When we finally did receive the statement we were paying 300 for the 22.00 tape measure. After talking to what seemed like 100 representatives from Sears we had one who told us they would settle the account and mark it as paid for 100.00 if we ran it to our local store and called in the receipt number this was 20 minutes before the store closed well did this thinking and being told that was the end of the ordeal.
It has now been two years and we are still receiving phone calls from a collections agency telling we now owe over 400 for our 22.00 tape and I go through this story everytime and I am told to contact Sears to have them send a letter or the phone calls will continue. Well you might as well tell me to donate my brain to science because you can't find an intellgent person at Sears who can find a file from 2 years ago and send a copy of the letter to their collections agency.
Also they have it reported on his credit report. So it is a double edged sword because not only do we get a phone call daily from a collection agency we have it reported on his credit score... Sears come to the HARDER side of Sears dealing with their credit people.
