I had a SEARS charge card that I fell behind on. Finally I took a settlement and paid the debt to a collection agency in full and I thought I could put this debt behind me.
Then 2 months later I recieved another collection notice in the mail for my SEARS account. I thought this was strange, so I called the collection agency GLOBAL CREDIT & COLLECTIONS to let them know this debt was already paid-
Settled with another collections recovery agency. The man told me to send proof that the debt had been paid and I gladly faxed the information that he requested.

She said no. I explained once again, there was never 2 accounts on my SEARS CHARGE CARD. I explained again that I had paid a settlement on my account THE ONLY ACCOUNT THAT I HAD. She told me that I would have to
Dispute the deliquent account, or face judgment. I told her that I would be more than happy to dispute the account that they seem to have MADE UP literally overnight. After I got off of the phone, I looked at my credit report
Again and further down towards the end there was another SEARS collection that had said PAID and once again with another account number. I find it VERY HARD to believe that I had 3 charge accounts with SEARS on ONE
SEARS CHARGE CARD. I will continue to dispute this, but I believe this company to have made up an account number to offer two different settlements on the same account to add up to the original balance. And they
Continue to report negative on my credit.
