Patrick S. Morris of Self Help Legal documents met me on 7/8 at a Starbucks to obtain my money order for $99.00 and he gave me some standard forms to complete with mine and my husband's personal info., addresses, phone #'s, SSN's etc. And basic info. About our assets together or if we had any. He was to complete Dissolution of Marriage documentation for me and file it for me in Denver County. I have a signed contract from him stating he would perform these services and that all original documents were my property and were to be returned to me.
After numerous text messages and phone calls to Patrick Morris about him giving me my completed divorce paperwork, as well as, my original documents, I contacted the BBB, which is where I originally found this company. Mr. Morris continued to give me one excuse after another why he couldn't meet with me to give me the completed documents. I filed a report on 7/13 with the BBB. I also have documentation of that report & conversation. After Patrick S. Morris responded to the BBB that he had mailed my original paperwork to me on 7/18, which I never received, I notified the BBB on 7/23 and 8/7 that he had taken my money and not provided the services and also that he was still in possession of mine and my husband's personal information. The BBB has failed to ever follow up or respond.
