My mom did an internet search for a Paralegal so I could file bankruptcy as it is cheaper than hiring an attorney, and I cant afford an attorney. Mr. Patrick Morris of Premier Paralegal services came up in her search on backpage.com i contacted the number listed on the website 303.351.6825 and left a message on Easter Sunday April 24. Mr. Morris returned my call that same afternoon. He stated he could do my case as an emergency and have me done and filed by Monday the 25th and the cost would be $299 plus a $40 emergency fee. If I paid him in cash in full that day he would waive the emergency fee. He came to my house a couple hours later with a contract he and I signed. He then stated he would have it done on Tuesday and he would meet me at my home at 10am Tuesday the 26th. At that time he said he would go over the documents with me and I would sign and pay him another $299 and he would go file my papers with the court on Tuesday, the same day. He never showed or contacted me. I called he never answered so I sent him a text. He replied sometime later saying he was at court with a client and we would meet that evening. He never showed. I called, he never answered. That night I sent another txt as he didnt show. He said we would meet 2:30 on Wednesday at Village Inn. He didnt contact me or show. I tried calling he didnt answer. Sent him a txt an hour later he replied and said he was in court with a client and he would call after and we would meet. He never called so I called from my daughters phone. He didnt answer but returned my call saying he had missed a call. When I told him it was me he said "calling from a different number so I wouldnt know it was you" he stated he was heading back from court and would meet me that evening. He never contacted me or showed. I texted him and told him i wanted to pick up my paper work I gave him with all my personal information and get my money. He said your case is completed and ready to file you will not be getting any money back! He said we would meet Thursday morning i replied to txt and asked where and what time, he never replied.initially I thanked him for coming out on Easter and he said he works 24/7. But in one of his texts Wednesday evening at about 6:15 pm he said his business hours were 9-6 and it was after hours for him. I am sure he will not be meeting me in the morning either. When I googled him his ad on backpage.com would come up, it no longer does for me. He also came up in two different cities under the same business name in California, one office of which said CLOSED. If you can help me any I would appreciate it as I didnt have the $299 I paid him to begin with. I had to borrow the money and dont know what to do and now do not have the money to pay anyone else. I have been through serving my husband a restraining order, divorce, job lay off, foreclosure, (just to name a few things) and now having to do a bankruptcy, and I think I have been scammed. To surreal that someone could actually do this to someone who has been thru so much. I work overnight and during the day trying to provide for my kids. My x husband does not pay child support so i dont get any help from him either. I am very overly stressed, overwhelmed, overworked, under paid:) and sleep deprived! I would GREATLY appreciate your help! I am at a loss and so dicombobulated... I dont know what to do anymore. I cant think cant concentrate or focus. To much and now this. Too surreal!!!
