G & G Moving
Alliance Express Moving and Storage Bait-and-Switch, Badly Damaged My Belongings, Terrible Customer Service

I hired Alliance Express to move me across the Country. I paid Alliance a $500 deposit on my American Express. On the day of the move, G&G Best Moving showed up and starting loading my stuff onto their Penske truck. I didn't even know it wasn't Alliance until I was presented with the contract to sign. I told them I had hired Alliance, and Nick with G&G said that Alliance farms work out to them when Alliance gets too busy. G&G wanted to charge me a 5% fee to use my American Express to pay the balance, and when I complained, they would not remove the fee, only lowered it to 3%. I had to move that day, half my stuff
was already on the truck, and I could not tell them to unload my stuff and leave, as much as I wanted to. When they finished loading my stuff, they told me it was going to be $1,000 more than what they quoted me. The people loading the truck used a different measurement, how many square feet in the truck the stuff took up, as opposed to the number of items, which was how
the estimate was calculated. I had paid for an original oil painting to be crated, and pointed out to Nick which painting it was. He agreed that it would be crated separately. As they were loading it onto the truck, Nick pointed out that was my oil painting. When we got to our destination, two movers, a guy and a girl, showed up to unload our stuff. Many of the boxes were mangled and tore up. The piece of plate glass from the entertainment stand was missing, and after calling Nathan, the mover, he found it on his truck and had to drive back a few days later to return it to me.

I looked for the oil painting and found it in a box of other paintings. One painting with a painted blue frame was put directly on top of the oil painting. I called G&G immediately and did not receive any help.

Marisa at G&G said she would send an email, but never did. I had to call back several more times just to get a claim to file with their insurance. I never was able to speak with a supervisor, or anyone else, only Marisa. After a month they sent me an email that they would offer me $114 for the damage to all my belongings, including the oil painting. I called Tony at Alliance to complain, and I also filed a BBB report. When Tony found out I filed a BBB report, he called my cell phone to threaten me that if I didn't remove the complaint he would not help me at all. As it turned out, he didn't help me one iota. He claimed that G&G was a
totally different company and not associated with them at all. When I spoke with Marisa at G&G, I asked her what the company's legal business name was, and after putting me on hold, she came back to tell me that their business name was Alliance Moving. These people are scammers and they know how to use the system to their favor.
