I was looking for a moving company to move my son's belongings from California to Minnesota. I was contacted by American Moving Express and they seemed to have the best rates around. So I went ahead and put a deposit down and proceeded to have them schedule the move.
Well, they came a day late, in a rented truck as they claimed theirs had brokened down. The company that came to move our belongings was subcontracted to a company named Dolphin Relocation Services. After they loaded everything up they said that our estimated cubic foot was more and that we had to pay extra. We gave them a cashier's check for 1/2 the balance. This took place on August 22.
As of today December 12 my son has not received his belongings. We tried to contact both companies several times and some of the phone numbers we had were disconnected or when we did get a hold of them, they said we told them to hold our stuff in storage for 2 months. When I said that was not true, they said they would reschedule their moves and ours would be done shortly.
They never called me back.
We contacted the BBB and found out that these people change their
names and relocate themselves all the time.in fact American Moving Express' website is now called Van Line Services and they are using the same phone number and they claim that they never heard of American Moving Express or Dolphin Van Lines When we called them and asked why that is, they could not answer. I even got a call from from one of their employees who said that we were in their data base and were asking about moving. If this company never heard of American Moving Express how can we be in their data base.
I am sure that my son's belongings has been trashed and sold off.
I hope these BASTARD's get theirs and soon as I don't want this to happen to anyone else.
