Kristen Dawson of Las Vegas Frenchies (http://www.lasvegasfrenchies.com) has not been honest or direct in registering my French Bulldog with the AKC. I bought my Frenchie for $2,600.00 from Kristen in May and our contract clearly states that she had registered the litter with the AKC and the certificate would be provided to me when it was received by the AKC which has not been the case at all.
According to Kristen, my puppy was born February 22 from her two dogs, Zoe and Diesel and today is January 11th and we still have not received any AKC certificate.in fact, today I spoke with Ruth at the AKC directly and she checked the system and informed me that Kristen has not registered any litters with the AKC since 2010.
I last spoke directly with Kristen Dawson in November at which point she said she was on a cruise and would call me the following Monday to explain. This is two months later and I've received no return call or email from her and I've called and left voice mail and emailed her multiple times since then. She is clearly avoiding me. Kristen has used many excuses prior to completely cutting off all communication to me why the paperwork had not arrived.
First she said the paperwork got returned to the AKC because she had moved homes and it was not forwarded to her. Then she emailed saying she was waiting for everyone who had purchased pups from that litter to send her their mailing addresses. Then she emailed saying she had mixed up microchip numbers on the paperwork. The stories just kept coming and coming. But still no AKC papers.
I am now dubious that our puppy even came from Zoe and Diesel as I went back and looked at a video Kristen emailed me when deciding on a pup and see that the mother in the video with the pups isn't Zoe at all. I'm not clear why Kristen would be dishonest about the birth mother, if this is in fact the case.
I guess I should have known something wasn't quite right when Kristen changed cell phone numbers, home addresses and veterinarians multiple times during our dealings. However, my biggest warning sign should have been when I booked my trip to visit and make my puppy choice. Kristen went missing and I never got to see any pups on that trip after buying plane tickets, hotel room, etc.
She said her "assistant" whom I never saw or met, would meet with me to show me the pups. It never happened. After several weeks of continuing to be missing in action after my visit, Kristen said her sister had died. Seemed legitimate to me. Now, after multiple excuses and going completely missing in action when being pressed to deliver what is in our legal contract, I have to come to the conclusion that I have been lied to and Kristen Dawson of Las Vegas Frenchies is a dishonest business person and I do not recommend doing business with her in any way.
