Ripoff, promises highspeed internet access, but can't delive

We live in an area without DSL or (until recently) cable internet access. We purchased the Direcway satellite service and satellite tv at the same time. They charged us twice to come out and install the systems serperately, even though it should have only had one dish installed. Never recouped that cost.

We asked to be paper billed - debited our credit card account, when we put a hold on the credit card - they canceled our service even though we paid by check. Took them almost 3 months to admit their mistake and resume our service. Now charge us and extra $5.00 per month for paper bill.

Have never had particularily fast access. Sometimes as high 260KBPS, but usually is barely faster than dial up 35K or so. Yesterday their own speed test showed our downloads at a snail like 6kbps. All day... We've called numerous times, but have never found a solution, though their help desk (in India btw) tries to help. We now pay for the hardware and service even though it's usually faster just to use our land line for dial up. At least it's predictable.

Stay away from this company - they don't come close to keeping they're service promises - not by a long shot...
