I bought Direcway satellite for my computer, to get High Speed access to the internet. It is simular to DSL and Cable. I am paying top dollar for Direcway equipment and service.
I am promised by the installer that this system is very fast and I will be SCREAMING on the internet, and the more I go to a web site, the faster it will load, each and everytime.
I try it out, it is faster than dial up, but byo means SCREAMING, sites I frequent still load at the same speeds, no matter how many times I go to them. The real complaint is HUGHES and DIRECWAY have a FAP, Fair Airway Practice, which means the limit your speed on the internet if they feel you are using it too much.
Excuse me, I am paying top dollar for equipment and High Speed access to the internet, and they are going to slow me down to a slower than dial up connection if THEY feel I am using the tool I am paying them for too much.
DSL and Cable do not have this restriction, sounds illegal to me, how can they limit my use of a product I am paying them to use, and using that product for it's intended use. It is not fair, it is not right and it really sucks.
