The BBB does not remove anyone from membership unless they don't pay their dues.
I explained to the Better Business Bureau that one of their respected members Brian Hedmann, owner of Power-Can Services whose experience and integrity I had relied had sent me an unsatisfactory renovator who someone with his background would recognize has no licenses or insurance. I checked him out and relied on their assessment of him. The renovator, Joe Ricupero, of RCON Construction, RRS Contracting (see other consumer complaints) had no City of Toronto construction permit, no drawings for a large complete renovation of the house, no ESA site license, inspection report, no Ontario registered plumbers inspection report, no City of Toronto General Contractor license. According to licensed plumbers and electricians who looked over his work, he used unlicensed electricians and plumbers. Probably did not have any insurance either.
Well last night I had an electrical contractor look over Joe's work, and he showed me the live wires in the basement and said that the house was a death trap for me and my tenants and that it would cost $3000 to fix the problem.
Also, Brian Hedmann came by to inspect the house on Saturday and still insists on trying to get me to let Joe in to finish the painting and the connection of the ventilation system to the stove. I don't like Joe since he took 4 months to finish fixing the plumbing leak in my kitchen. A licensed plumber told me that it would cost $570 to fix and it took Joe 4 months to find a licensed plumber to do the job. A licensed plumber told my tenant that it would cost $150 to fix a broken faucet upstairs (ditto the downstairs one) if I purchased the faucet. Also $35.70 to breakthe washroom wall and repair the faucets.
What is Brian's relationship with Joe Ricupero?
Also Brian Hedmann told me that he would pay my VISA off during the $50000 mortgage deal. He did not.
