We were offered a wireless plan by our local phone company (SBC) that included 2 cell phones, at 450 daytime min., 1000 cell to cell min., and 5000 pm/wknds min. For $40.00 a month.
We agreed to this plan and they sent us the cell phones.
When we tried to activate the phones we were told that the plan we were told about did not exisist. So we asked what were we going get and they told us they could only offer that plan with 600 daytime min. 1000 cell to cell min. And 5000 pm/wknd min. And an additonal charge of $10.00 extra a month. Thinking that was ok, we went ahead and signed up at $50.00 a month.
When we got the first bill we were alarmed at the high charges so we called them up again and asked them what was the problem and they tried to tell us we did not have the cell to cell option for this plan. Then they said that we had to pay $19.99 for the 2nd phone which at first was free with this plan.
Now we are stuck in a contract with these liars and defrauders that say we have no way to prove that we have been taken, but on the other hand they have a way to prove we agreed to all this mess!
Is there any one out there who can help us fight this kind of injustis?
