I purchased a webstore created by Pelican Designs on 4/17. THey promise several thousand dollars profit eacn month and a 10x purchase price money back guarantee if site doesn't make 3750$ after one year.
Their ads say once site is purchased there is nothing the new owner (me) has to do. They also promised guaranteed web hits and control over many things in web store.
They started out nice enough answering questions but when I starting asking about recieving advertised services I was told that I must have misunderstood that they would not do such items.
Then on 4/25 I forwarded back to them their own advertisments (from website I purchased) and also forwarded to them the first Email I recieved from them after purchasing store—email had further promised of services which were not being honored.
To date (as of 5/6/04) I have recieved no other communications from them. I have sent quite a few emails since but they no longer respond to anything from me.
Their advertisement for the webstore which i purchased stated this was not an MLM program&but all links and info given to me just after store purchase contains Stuff about affliliate programs where we can generate large income by selling their websites.
It is advertised that I (as new owner of site) can change colors/fonts and choose products and prices of products for sale. The even give generic instructions. BUT when you try doing so you realise they have not given you access to server hosting the site to actually do changes yourself
The only way the will do anything for you is if you purchase some program and pay them more money. It is stated you can even use your commission sales $ to purchase things to upgrade your status &/or website.
This is nothing more than a scheme to take your money and then sell more of their sites to other unsuspecting folks so Pelican Designs can take their money too.
My website has made no money. I have no control over the site at all (even though they promised I would). I have no customer service even though it was promised in their ads that I (owner of one of their websites) has free customer service for life.
