I signed up for 2 lines with who I thought was AT&T. It turns out it was Mobile Tech, inc., and "authorized" dealer for AT&T wireless. It took 2 days for one of the lines to work. I understand that there are technical difficulties.
However, I purchased 2 phones, nicer than the ones that came free for signing up. I paid for them and was told that they were sold out and had to return to pick them up later that afternoon. After more than 8 trips to their location in the stonewood mall, i still have these cheap phones.
I tried talking to several AT&T customer services reps but one just laughed and said I did not even have an account set up. AT&T also said they could not help me and that I had to take it up with Mobile Tech, inc.
Mobile Tech, inc. Kept giving me the run arounds. I finally got so pissed off that I asked for my money back. I did not want the phones if it was going to be that much of a hassle.
Well, they said it would take 2-3 weeks to get my money back for phones that I never even recieved. Although I like the service that AT&T provides, I am second guessing their judgement if they allow people like Mobile Tech, inc. To represent them. Especially since AT&T is not able to help anyone that is ripped off by their "authorized" dealers.
