My husband shipped my custom built computer tower via FedEx to my temporary work assignment location. He packed the tower in the box it came in with several layers of bubble wrap. He also insured the package for $1500 in case something were to happen.
When it arrived, I was horrified to find that there was a dent in the side of the steel case. When I opened the tower, I found that all of the internal components were lying at the bottom of the case, the heat sink supports were bent downward, and several of the hard drive mounting pins were either broken or bent out of shape. I also noticed that one of the hard drives had been broken off the cables. The graphics card was also found lying on the bottom of the tower. The metal supports were bent, while the clips that held it in place to the tower were still engaged. It appeared that my tower had been dropped repeatedly with force to cause so much internal damage.
