Like most a lot of folks I buy a majority of my consumer goods at Walmart. Which even of you did not want to do they have driven the mom and pop stores out of business. And now that their major competion (Kmart) is done they have returned to being jerks about returning items.
Tonight I was informed about there secret return policy. (I think they enforce this selectivily) I was informed that I had made 3 returns without reciepts this year and that they would not take the items. News to me I have returned dozens of things every year without reciepts. What really gets me ticked is that they have record of every transaction through credit card records but it does not suit them to in this case.
So I have made a pledge that I will save every single reciept that I get at Walmart. That I will hold up return lines as I search throught the dozens of reciepts. That I may return things when I get up on the wrong side of the bed. That I may use things, give them the torture test and return them when they break.
Walmart has started sicking the bean counters on the very people that pay their salaries. I for one will not stand for this BS. I will try to buy at other outlets where my business is appreciated. And when I do buy at Walmart I will make damn sure (or have someone else do the return) I keep the reciept and be 10 times more likely to reurn and item, on principle and to off set the loses when I don't have a reciept. Do what you can to make this policy a self fullfilling hell for the Walmart bean counters.
