We shopped at Walmart for oil and the checker said she received an alert stating we won a thousand dollar gift card and all we had to do was fill out a survey. Our receipt confirmed we had already won with these words, " In return for your time you receive one of Five $ 1000 Walmart Shopping Cards. I looked at the receipt carefully. It didn't say "MAY receive."
We filled out the survey but it didn't ask us for contact information. We called the manager but she didn't seem to know to do. I saved the receipt. It could be a mistake but the checkers statement was misleading and the appearance of the receipt was convincing. To get feedback from Walmart would've helped but they ignored our emails.
