Used Sears Home Improvement to install a new boiler in 2009. They subcontract with a local firm and the installation went fine, though I paid Sears for a 7 year service agreement as part of the sale. Just had the boiler cleaned and now they refuse to honor the maintenance cost (it is part of the agreement).incredibly frustrating just trying to get someone on the telephone - I finally put it all in writing because I got tired of them bouncing me from person to person (well, actually they would make me hang up and call another number). Someone actually called last week from Sears and said he was handling the case (!) but when I tried to call him back they told me they had no idea who that was and suggested I call another number and start over. I will NEVER use Sears again - they are incompetent, arrogant and just downright nasty and have absolutely no interest in working with customers. SEARS has NOT paid for the cleaning to date, even though it is clearly covered in the protection agreement.
