I received an official looking letter in the mail from the Colorado Corporate Control unit yesterday saying Colorado corporations code requires periodic report. The letter went on to say that I had to respond by April 15th and send them $225.00 dollars. This letter went on to quote the corporations code sections and how each business entity is required by law to submit this periodic report. Since I had already paid all my fees through Legal Zoom, something did not seem right about this letter. I'm so glad I checked out the business name on the internet so I could see it was a rip off. Also at the very bottom of the letter it says "this product or service has not been approved or endorsed by any government agency". I'm sure this con works on alot of people and I will be reporting this to the Better Business Bureau also.
