SCAM requests payment of $225 for Periodic Report filing

I received a 'bill' from Corporate Controllers Unit indicating that I owe $225 for each of my two Colorado LLC's Period Reports. Everything looked very official upon first glance — they even quoted some Colorado Revised 'Statues' (Yes, they really mispelled 'Statutes'). I just recently filed my periodic reports for both businesses, so I was immediately suspicious. Reading further, I did find the small print at the bottom of the letter that indicated that "this product or service has not been approved or endorsed by an Government Agency..."

BEWARE — it would be easy to fall for this, and I'm sure you'll never that $225 again if you send it in!!
