Received a letter in the mail today stating that we owed $225.00 to this Corporate Controllers Unit in order to file our Periodic Report to the Secretary of State. I found it odd because I have never filed my annual report this way.
After reading the entire document, I noticed the disclaimer at the bottom which stated that "this is not a government entitity, and I am not required to submit anything to them."
I am glad that I read this thing all of the way. Remember people, you can take care of this yourself for a few bucks on the Secretary of State's website.
What a sham.
