I had two rings that were soddered together and needed them to be taken apart. When I received them back from Zale's, the tanzanite ring was scratch up, with two gouges, very sharp and had a moon shape missing from the band. The wedding band had what I call a "speed bump". I asked them to just separate them and size the band. And to leave the tanzanite alone.
When the store clerk brought me my two rings, separated, I examined them. And I pointed out the flaws that were NOT there before. The sales associate said oh, I see that I will not send jewelry to this company to fix rings anymore, as they messed up a person's ruby ring last week. They returned it with a crack down the ruby ring.
I asked to see the manager (McKenzie) she came over and said "I am sorry there is nothing I can do." When I got upset and showed her all the things that were wrong with the two rings, she said she could send them back and get them fixed and charge me, but would give me 50% off! I just paid $70.00 to separate them and now she wants to charge me again to fix my rings they messed up!
I WILL NEVER shop here again, and McKenzie at the Westminster location has HORRIABLE customer service skills. I am in shock, that a company would allow a ring to be given back to the customer looking like this; it is so sharp I could cut myself on it! I am very upset with Zale's, and they don't even stand behind their jewelers who do this to our jewelry!
