Complaint / review text:
I contracted my relocation service to Global Ocean Freight INC (www.global-oc.com) in early August; they came to my apartment on late August to pick up all my goods. First, the pick up time was wrong, I called 3-5 times just to get them to confirm me the correct time.
They informed me that my goods will be shipped out in 3-4 weeks once they picked up from my apartment. However, they did nothing but put my packages in their warehouse for at least 2 months before they finally shipped out my packages in early November 2003, after I email and called them numerous times.
However, it is almost the end of year 2003 and I still do not have my packages. I do not know the condition of my packages, are they stolen, lose or damaged.
I constantly email them but they only give me the run around, telling me that my packages were too small to ship with their cargo, which I was not informed in the first place.
I have been patiently waiting over the last 4 months. Imagine that you pay for the service and your belonging to some company that DO NOT care about their customer service. They DO NOT keep their promise and they DO NOT call and inform the status to their customer. I will not advice anyone, anywhere to do business with this company—Global Ocean Freight.
This is by far the worse (beyond the description of English vocabulary) service that I have ever experienced. Relocating to a new environment is tough, but it is even tougher when you do not have your belonging from US to help you go through this tough time.
My children have been patiently waiting for their toys; they kept asking me did they lose the toys. Imagine the disappointed looks on their faces when I tell them that I have no clue where all their toys, pictures, gifts and clothes went.
In the end, I want all my packages to delivery to me in good condition and I hope BBB will take the appropriate action toward Global Ocean Freight Inc because I believe no customer should be treated this way.
