I requested a people search early in 2010 and was consequently billed for the service on my credit/bank card.in December I found that I had been billed monthly for a 'membership' in the amount of $19.95 when I was doing an audit of my account. I never requested or desired such a 'membership'. I called customer service and talked with 'Peggie' (not actual name) in Outer Mongolia or somewhere and was credited with two months charges and 'membership' cancelled. I was made to understand that all fraudlent charges would be refunded. I made at least 6 phone calls to attempt to get the appropriate credit. Finally, my 'customer service representive said I would need to talk to his supervisor Antony who was conviently on break and I would have to call later, which I did. After reaching 'Antony' (whom I suspect was ficticous, I actually think that it was the same person) I was credited for the other fraudlent charges. I made it clear that I was aware that this was a ripoff and that I was not going to go away quietly. Yes, I did get my money back but I am sure others have not and I was fortunate to discover the fraud. I am submitting this report in the interest of perhaps preventing others from being taken in.
