Midland funding llc midland credit trying to shake me down

I am disputing a verizon cell phone bill picked up by midland credit management. They insist the debt is mine. Yes i had a cell contract with verizon. We had a dispute and i closed my account and overcharge was waived. Midland insist i owe $1900. I only owe $275 for cancellation and that is all i will pay. They just dont get it. I will fight this.
