Sears (Air Duct Cleaning)
Atlanta, GA Sears Forgot What It Took To Make Them a Household Name

After setting up an appointment to get my air ducts cleaned ($240), I was told that I needed to get my intake motors cleaned at a cost of $180 pre motor (2x), and without that cleaning, the duct cleaning service would be useless. Moreover, after the techs left, my upstairs felt like something was burning (a rubber burning smell). I shut down the fan that they left running and opened all windows to air out the smoke. I then attempted to contact them to no avail. I also called several Sears numbers, but got bounced around for an hour or so. My house also had a white dust like powder over everything in the house and drywall particles on my carpet throughout the house—I had to spend a few hours cleaning my house...
Moreover, the service manager kept calling me changing the time that the techs would arrive.in the morning, he called saying that the truck needed to have its breaks repaired before the techs could depart for my house; therefore, they would be an hour or so late (I had to miss going to work). While the techs were here, they said that they were sorry for being late, but they had to finish an earlier job first.???
At this point, I was told by customer service that there will be a tech at my house on Monday morning (another work day missed for me). I asked them if I could get someone out to my house immediately because of the smell of something burning, and they said no. No one on their staff had a sense of urgency.
