On June 28th I contacted this company to move my daughter from her apartment in FL to CA. I gave a description of all the items moving, such as number of boxes and funiture and was sent by email a confirmation report. I was told that I had to pay the full amount of $1010.04 before the company would schedule the pick up and date. After my payment was received they schedule pick up on July 29th. On that day when the movers arrived they told my daughter that she had more cubic fee than the 250quoted on the "Order of Service" email I received from the company. Since I was paying for this and had already paid their specified amount they contacted my daughter instead of me. They stated that the cubic feet was double the size quote from 250 to 450 and they wanted an additional $800. I am a retired widow and do not have that kind of money thant I could get my hands on. When I called the company representative Ashley the receptionest refused to allow me to talk to her. The receptinest also refused to give me a number of corporate. I feel very used by this company and feel that I was not allow the opportunity consider their price as they took it upon themselves to quote me one price and on moving day when you are in a bind they sock it too you with an additional fee. They did not take into consideration their clients and just used the trust I had placed with them. Big mistake.
Do not use this company or any other company without completely investigatng them. The did not take the time to go to my daughters house and "see" all the items and give me a fair and accurate quote so I could descide if I wanted to use them.
I also feel that the representative that quoted me this price original price should pay the additional cost or at least pay half the cost as it was no fault of mine the price changed. Maybe if the company were accountable for these misquotes then they might change their policy and do business the right way.
This company has lied cheated and is very untrustworthy.
