On june 13 i contacted a seller on ebay called mythmart, about a book about science fiction and horror television series. Mythmart said that they had the book for sale but that i should buy it from thier website rather than on ebay as they did not currently plan to list the book again with ebay. On june 14 i went to the website and purchased the book, and paid for it with my paypal account.including a generious amount to postage.
Six weeks passed and no book, i contacted them and they briushed it off as lost mail, so i waited a few more weeks, then i decided to contact paypal, but they said that i could not file a claim as it was past the 30 days that they alow. I contacted the seller by phone and email but they refused to respond until i filed a postal fraud alert, then they sent me a very rude and nasty email, but no book. I have contacted the better business bureau, but they are having trouble getting mythmart to respond to requests as well. I did a general search on the web and found other people who have been ripped off by this company as well.
Can anyone stop there people from ripping off consumers who are trying to use the web to make honest purchases? Thank you for reading this and please do not shop with mythmart. They will only steal your money.
