I'm not the worlds most articulate writer so I will list the events that took place.
*I post auction on ebay for A music text book with 3 CD's to go with it.
*Buyer wins auction and sends payment.
*I mail the buyer his book and CD's together in 1 package.
*Buyer claims to have receive the book, but no CD's. (The book is worth around $10 the cds are going for around $50)
*buyer opens a claim with eBay and wins; eBay tells him to send back the book to me (with delivery confirmation) and they will provide him with a full refund at my expense.
Now it could have ended there and I would have gotten screwed out of the majority of my item, but it didn't...
*Buyer sends me and ebay a tracking number with UPS, showing the book has been delivered... But I never received the book; I look up the number and it shows it was delivered to somebody hundreds of miles away. I have no idea who.
*eBay accepts this tracking number and says that the buyer provided proof of delivery... Which they did, BUT NOT TO ME!
Long story short, I owe eBay for the full cost of the item, and I received NOTHING back. The system is broken and all sellers are facing a losing battle. I was never a major seller on eBay, but now I will never use their services ever again for any purpose.
