I made a hugh mistake by selecting California Notary Seminars for my notary class as part of the process for renewing my notary. I found this company on the internet. So... I went to their website and signed up for the notary class. Unfortunately, these shady scammers made the information on their site appear that you could purchase their notary supplies and the class for $139.00. However, this could not have been further from the truth. Because when I hit that part of their site it quickly totaled up the transaction to be $143.18. HOWEVER, it was only for notary supplies and along with this total came their disclaimer that said "NO REFUNDS ON SUPPLIES". I called them that night which was 12/5 to let them know that was a mistake, but it was a Saturday Night and they were closed. But, I wasted NO time. First thing Monday morning I called their office again and I spoke with someone by the name of Chelsa L. Minch. I explained the situation and told her I made an error in my purchase and she said she would refund that purchase and do the transaction for $99.00 just for the Notary Class. However, they held me to the purchase of those notary supplies. Later, I spoke to Ruben (many, many times) and he said he could do nothing and that All Sales for supplies were final. But again, I tried to explain that this purchase was done in error. So, then he said I would have to speak to Susan. However, that event NEVER occurred. I called them more than 7 times trying to get my money back, but Ruben would never authorize me to have my money back and Susan NEVER once responded to my call. So, I went ahead and took their class December 16 and in that class I did the California Notary Seminars Live Scan and paid them $99.00 for my fingerprints that were to be sent to the Department of Justice for my background check, but my fingerprints were NEVER sent and California Notary Seminars have kept my money. They are thieves that are certified by Secretary of State/State of California/Business Programs/Notary Public.
After realizing that my fingerprints were never sent I tried calling this company in Corona only to find out that they are now "out of business". Their website is gone and their (951) 734-4342 is no longer in service. However according to the Business License Department of of the City of Corona they have their business license in the name of Professional Notary Association of America and they are listing another number as (951) 898-0008 AND they also answer National Education Funders.
Remember both names — california notary seminars and professional notary association of america and national education funders.
Stay away from this company chelsa l. Minch, ruben asuna and susan @ ext. 23
Just be informed that when you call them at (951) 898-0008 they will not give you any names.
