Massage Envy
Unethical practice

Because of a bad shoulder i went to massage envy here in San diego to see if they can help. After the bad service (cold room, uncomfortable tables, 45 min actual massage) i was given a "best price"sales pitch that i should sign in a contract which i can try for two of three sessions in order to really work on the shoulder. This will entitle me for a 39 dollar initial fee instead of 59 without a contract. Who would not sign in specially after being told you can just try for 2 or 3 sessions. I specifically asked if it was okay to cancel out if i was not getting better and they said "its okay, just call in". What they do not mention is that you are signing in for 12 months and they automatically deduct the fees month to month. After 3 months i wanted to cancel out, when they said i am tied to them for 12 months. They can put a stay for 6 months, which means they will resume deducting from my credit card after the stay period is over.
I am really so hard up with money now, with kids going to college and my deteriorating shoulder. I could not afford the payments anymore. I would hope massage envy would practice good business and discontinue my membership and payments now. I intend to email friends list in the county to stay away from them, and bestow the baddest karma to all their workers (stomach aches and pass on my aching shoulder to all their therapists) if they do not stop their unethical practice to their customers...
