Complaint / review text:
I was with alltel for over two years. Last october I noticed my bill being excessively high. I went to the local office and showed them where all of my phones (I have 7) had been changed from their original plan. There had been three consecutive months of these changes. I was told they would look into it. WELL in march of this year, after numerous phone calls (by the way don"t think you are getting the local office, they refuse to answer the phone and it automatically transfers you to Jacksonville!) and visits to the office I had had it. I was still being charged a base charge of over $600.00 (I started out with a base bill of $269.00) I was ugly and made a scene in front of alot of other customers.
In may of this year they deducted $1500.00 from my account. When I asked where they got that amount from they said they could only go back six months and make changes. I told them I first came to them in october, but that didn't matter it went from the time they finally got around to it!
I cancelled all but two of my phones (one because they let my 16 year old get a new phone and added two years to his contract (without asking me!!!)
They are still over charging me, when I left in July, I had a balance of $483.00. I just got a call from them saying I had to do something because my bill had reached over $1900.00!! Please tell me what plan they have for two phones that cost $ 700.00 a month???
Beware!!! They charge you for mobile to mobile even if you pay to have it free! They charge you for roaming even if you have the nationwide plan!!! They change your plans without asking and can't tell you who authorized it. They bill you for overages when you were under your minutes they let anyone go get new accessories charge them to your account and extend your contracts!!! And don't think you will ever get decent customer service!!! They can't even tell you which plan your on!!!
