Moving on Up The most dishonest, incompetant company to deal with!

We scheduled a move from Alabama to California.initial mover show up on time, loaded all household and office items on truck. At the time we scheduled the movers, we were told everything was included and give a price. We agreed on the price, but when the movers arrived and extra amount was added for fuel cost. The person of contact at Movers USA was Wanda. We were specific about all charges prior to making the agreement, however the fuel charge was still additional. This was only the beginning of the complications and mismanagement of this company.

We were assured the our items would arrive in 7 to 14 days from initial pick-up date and it did not arrive. Upon inquiring about the location and estimated delivery date, I was given several phone numbers: a. Phone number for the driver of the truck, Raymond and b. Phone number of the driver's manager, Alejanero. Called Raymond on many occassions and there was no answer so I left a message inquiring about the ETA of delivery along with my personal phone number (which I never received an return call). I proceeded to call Ramond's manager, Alejanero, and was told that delivery was 7-14 days from pick-up. Then when I asked where the truck was, I was told by him that the truck was in Texas and would be delivered in 3-5 days. I continued to ask about what process our items went through such as are these items on the same truck that was loaded at initial storage? At first, Alejanero, said "Yes". Then when I asked where the moving truck went when it left our storage, he said, "Tennessee" and that the items were unloaded and put in the moving companies storage and later was loaded onto another truck headed for California. I questioned him about his previous statement that the item were on the initial truck and Alejanero changed his story saying that the items were put into a storage unit and loaded onto another truck. When I asked when the second truck was loaded, I was told that it was the next day. Then I continued to inquire of the whereabouts of the truck and again, Alejanero, changed his story and said that the second truck broke down and it took four days to repair before reloading our items from the storage in Tennessee.

After a long dispute about the differences in his story, I finally was told that the truck was in Texas and would arrive in 3-5 days and the driver will call one day ahead to confirm delivery. On day 14, when delivery should have arrived, I tried to call Raymond — no answer — so I left a message along with my phone number to please contact me. Never received a return call from Raymond so I tried to call Alejanero again but there was no answer and "the phone mailbox was full" so I was unable to leave a message. At this time, I called the initial movers, MoversUSA, and was spoken extremely rude to and that calling every day was only going to delay the delivery. I asked where the moving truck was so that we could make an appointment with the apartment complex to open the back gate so they could get in. I never got an answer. The person I spoke with only began complaining to me about me calling so many times to find out about our belongings and that the driver would call a day ahead to let us know when to expect delivery. Then he changed his story saying that the contract does not state a 7-14 day delivery AND then said that delivery was 7-14 day from the date we had put for available move in date of the apartment. (another LIE). I asked why he could not tell me where the truck was, he began to raise his voice, got very angry with me, and again, said, "the driver will call and let us know!" and hung up the phone. I immediately called back and was hung up on again after he very hatefully hollered, "Maam, the driver will call one day ahead!!!". We still do not know the whereabouts of our household and office items, nor do we have any idea or estimate when to expect delivery.

It is not a large load. About 500 cu. Sq. Ft. But there are extremely importment documents and books that are needed to conduct business with stockholders, owners, media press and etc. And MoversUSA did not have any concern what-so-ever about the items or where the truck was or any information about an estimate time of delivery, let alone, the condition our items will be in once delivered.

This is the biggest mistake of trusting the words of any company I have ever experienced and we have contacted a lawyer to further proceed with our complaint.
