I should have checked the internet before hiring this contractor. He was on a recommended list from my realtor so... Well the rest is history.
He low balled the job, got in over his head and now we have a home that is fair from complete. We have not moved in and today we are busy canceling the movers, contacting the apartment complex, etc. Yes we had a tight timeline and considering he didn't really get started to almost 2 weeks after we signed, we should have seen the outcome.
The first clue came when no one showed up the first day. I waited at the house for several hours and called DJ several times. He never returned my calls. My husband tried too. I sent him an Email cancelling the contract, well that got his attention and all of sudden, the master bath counters were ripped out by the time I got there the next day.
