Sears refuses to correct an error on their part which is ruining my credit.
I ordered a refridgerator from Sears over 5 years ago, it was not delivered on the day it was suppose to be. To make things up Sears offered a further discount on the item and free shipping. Again the item was not delivered and the order was canceled.
Sears charged the full original price to my card, then credited back only the original price minus the discounts and free shipping. This left a charge of about 150.00 for an item that was never delivered!!!
Sears then sent all notices to our old address that we had not lived at for over a year. Since we had no knowledge of the error we could not correct it.
Five years latter Sears has sent the matter to a collection agency and refuses to correct their error.
We have repeatedly been told by Sears to talk to the collection agency, and the collection agency has told us to talk to Sears.in a number of cases I was treated as if I were a deadbeat.
I have even faxed a letter to Sears Agency Complaint, 7023 Albert Pick Road, Greensborough, NC; at the a Sears supervisors suggestion and still the problem goes on.
My credit history is being badly damaged by this. I am unable to refinance my house and I am increadibly frustrated and ready to take this matter to court.
Watch out for Sears and shop elsewhere.
