I'm an entertainment vendor for weddings in Tampa Bay. I asked the Vinoy hotel if I could be included in their preferred vendor brochure for 2009. I was accepted and was told to pay Blacksheep Publishing of La Jolla California for an ad in the preferred vendor brochure for the Vinoy Hotel of St Petersburg FL.
I did that but after spending $1132.50 for the ad I've come to find out that the ad was never included either by accident or for some other reason. I had called the hotel and was told at various times that there were delays. Turns out it wasn't delayed.
I have contacted Blacksheep numerous times by email and phone to ask for a refund but he will not call me back. I cannot get any assistance from the Vinoy nor any response from Blacksheep Publishing aka Bridgeport Publishing aka Marty McChesney.
If you are a vendor trying to get into a preferred vendor brochure be careful who the publisher of the PVB is. Guess I'll have to set up a letter of credit in the future to make sure these vendors perform on their commitment.
