Is a total rip off! Do not go there! I have argued with them every single time I had to go there saying my warantee doesnt cover this/that (except when they took my money for purchase!)

Well my bad story isn't nearly as horrible as the previous reports but no customer should ever have to deal with Kevin Jewelers! Again, DO NOT GO THERE!
So my boyfriend and I had been looking for a black pearl ring for my valentine's day gift. We found one at Kevin Jewelers and since they were having a sale, something like 70% off (which i think they jack up prices to have a sale) we decided to go for it and get the ring. It was a black pearl with 3 small diamonds on each side of it. We also bought the 2 year warantee to make sure it lasts awhile. Which they told me covers the pearl if lost or broken, service, and cleaning.
Now i know it isn't a diamond or some big fancy ring but it still means a lot to me.
Pearl rings are not supposed to be subjected to water because it will basically make the pearl fall off. They never informed me of this and i took showers, swam, and did dishes with this ring on. Well the pearl fell off and was lost.
I took the ring back to Kevin Jewelers in the Fox Hills Mall in Culver City, and the woman that helped me was completely rude. I don't know what her name was but she was older with dark hair and an accent. I will get her name when I pick my ring up again (it is currently back there again for another fix).
So unfortunately we lost the original receipt. But they can look it up real quick on their computers. So I get to the store and I nicely/politely told this woman that I have the 2 year warantee but I don't have my receipt. I asked her if she could look up my receipt and please replace the pearl on my ring. She proceeded to argue with me saying that I don't have the warantee when she never even looked it up.
I didn't know this when I bought the ring but they are supposed to give you a little pamplet that says you bought the 2 year warantee and it has a place to mark all your cleanings and inspections. Well I never got that. They also never told me that I need to bring the ring in every 3 months to get it "serviced and inspected." The pearl fell off right after I had it three months.
This woman then told me that since it was more than 3 months since I had it serviced, that she couldn't help me. I argued with her saying that no one ever told me any of this and that I wanted the pearl replaced since I had the warantee. The finally said ok but made it seem like she was doing me a favor. It is her job to satisfy the customer.
So she told me in a week I could pick it up. I go to pick it up and it's not ready. I go back the next day and pick it up. I walked outside and was looking at the ring and noticed that there was a small diamond missing. I take the ring back and a different woman looked at it and told me they had to send the ring back again so it would be at least another week before I could pick it up.
What kind of jewelery store doesn't inspect a ring before they give it back to a customer??? A crappy one—Kevin Jewelers!
So I go pick up my ring and then notice the diamond they replaced doesn't match the other diamonds. Wierd but I was so irritated with these people that I just left it.
On to the next experience with Kevin Jewelers.
Three months later, I go to get my ring cleaned and inspected. She looks at it and cleans it and gives it back. Ok good, that was easy enough.
One month later, I notice that there was a chuck missing from the pearl. I take it to Kevin Jewelers and the same rude woman is just waiting for me. I show her the ring, my receipt, and my warantee. She looks at the ring and tells me that they don't fix things like this and that the piece missing is from neglect.
At this point I just got irrate! I raised my voice and told her that "I just got the ring cleaned and inspected 1 month ago and that what is the purpose of having a warantee on a ring if you don't cover anything!" And that "they shouldn't be in business if they can't hold up their end of the sale!" She just grinned and nodded her head.
She told me then that just this time they will fix it but it's going to cost them like $50. I was like why is she telling me how much they are going to have to pay? To make me feel bad? Because I sure as h_ll don't feel bad at all!
I just dropped the ring off the other day so I don't have it back yet. But I will sure come back on here and report back if they mess it up again.
To sum up, Kevin Jewelers is such a rip off! Do NOT go there for any reason. They advertise amazing sales but their jewelery is crap. Comparable to the 25 cent machines. They should be taken out of business, never to return. Especially from reading all the other horrible stories previous to mine.
I am going to go to many other websites and tell my story to as many as I can to put them out of business!
