I recently ordered (July '09) a Sona Hybrid Diamond pendant (from Sonadiamondjewelry.com) set in 14k gold. After waiting over 2 weeks, I received a poorly crafted light-weight piece set in 10 k gold, nothing like the picture featured. The necklace gold weight was half of what was advertised. I am glad that I had a jeweler's loop to look inside the gold bezel setting to note the 10 k mark. I paid $249.00 for something worth well under $50.
Trust me, after doing extensive research on this supposed company, this on-line "company" is a one-person show operating out of an apartment in Hayward California. There is no proof that they are #1 in the world... Or maybe they are... The #1 on-line rip off store in the world. Also, their claim of a 98.7% eBay rating is false as they have no eBay affiliation or ebay store.
At one time the owner, Cleve Phillips, had an association with a legitimate jewelry store based in Georgia (Midtown Jewelers, 1544 Piedmont Ave., Atlanta Georgia 30324; phone: 404-724-9900), but no longer. Essentially, if you do business with this "store", you are buying re-sold items from an individual who has no problem making false claims about his company and the quality of his jewelry pieces. I am making this report simply to alert potential buyers that you can not buy with confidence from this seller. Also, be alerted that even if you purchase a stock item, the seller will claim that the item is a custom order and is non-refundable. Because I had proof that the item I purchased was misrepresented (i.E., was 10 k not 14 k), the seller refunded my purchase.
