Lied at refund, very rude customer service

I made two separate purchases at this Target in Chattanooga, TN. On one purchase I had bought a duvet set among other things. I had paid for this purchase with my card. A few days later I purchased some children's clothes and paid for them with cash. One of the outfits I had purchased didn't fit and I decided against the colors in the duvet so I took them back to the store to return them. The girl at the return desk told me that since one purchase was made in cash and one was made on a card, she could give me back the cash for the outfit but the duvet set would have to be returned to my card. I said this was fine took my receipts and left.
Two weeks later the return hadn't been posted to my card yet. I called the store and was told that I needed to bring in my receipt. The next day I take my receipt from the return to the customer service. The lady there had an attitude from the start and told me that since the receipt was folded she couldn't see the numbers and I would either need to find the item on the shelf or find my original receipt.
The duvet set was on sale when I bought it and there were only two so I didn't expect to find it so I went to my car to look for the original receipt. I then remembered that target can look up purchases by the card that was used so I grabbed my card and went back into the store. This time the lady was even more rude and when I was trying to ask her about looking up the purchase by my card she was yelling over the counter to some friends that had came in. Then she looked at a girl next to her and asked her to deal with looking up the purchase. The whole time the other girl was trying to help the rude one was standing in the corner laughing with the people she was yelling at before (she was at least 40 and way to old to act that way) Anyways...
The other girl looked at the recipe and pointed out that it says the purchase was refunded in cash. I explained to her what the girl who had done the return had told me about part of it going back on the card and how she only gave me the cash for the outfit. She called a manager who took the receipt and looked it up. He said that since he couldn't find anything stating differently than what the receipt said that he made a copy and would fax it to the loss prevention and I should receive a call from them in 3 days tops.
It has been over a month, I have never received a call. I have called the store and had no luck with the store manager or the district manager. All of this hassle was for a clearance duvet set for $24 so I finally gave up. I work in retail myself and I know there is no excuse for anyone at that store lying or acting the way some of them did.
