I have been a Gems TV buyer for a number of a years, and value the service you offer, but what astonishes me in reflection is that I cannot ever remember ever, not ever, seeing anyone other than a white person on the show, be that presenter, or crew. The only time you have gotten past your 'Up North' focus is when the sometimes show the workforce, ie creators of the works from the Far East.
How astounding is that not one minority is presented on your show. I am not usually sensitive to this sort of thing but after my teenage daughter and her friends pointed it out I have been watching for the past 6 months and am simply astonished that there seems to be this blanket 'white only' approach to staff that is visible on Gems TV.
Please enlighten me as to what the management policy is here... Cos' quite honestly it does, to me, as a Londoner (yeah Southern Bast. D that I am) seem at odds with the mulitculture ethos that is supposed to make up the UK now...!!
