Merchant Services faxed me a contract but neglected to send all the pages with all the details of charges to include a 495.00 cancellation fee. After signing on, PCI, a compliance company notified me that I had to fill out paperwork to be in compliance. They assisted me in filling out the form and I ended up owing $285.00 annual fee. I therefore, cancelled and they withdrew 495.00 from my checking account.
I was able to reverse this but & they sent me to a collection agency. I tried to contact someone from Merch. Serv. But they would not talk to me... I could only send a letter which was pretty much disregarded and said I had to pay. I then sent a letter to the BBB. I thought they would be able to arbitrate and assist me. Today I went to the website to see the activity and they closed the case - ASSUMED RESOLVED.
On 6/22 they rec'd a business response & Manually forwarded business response to Consumer (me).interesting because I never talked to anyone other than the collection agency saying I still had to pay after filing a dispute with them. BBB indicated a No Consumer Response (me) and ASSUMED RESOLVED W/O letter so they closed the case.
So I'm back where I started from with no resolution. I was hoping to see the business response or hear from the BBB but nothing came my way. It's just a big rip off and the guy "John Dennis" from Merchant Services is a dishonest coward because he will not talk to anyone just accept letters that he basically disregards and sends his complaints to the collection agency to do his dirty work.
