Rob Mahanes came to our store telling us how they were putting a "Green Magazine, " in Central Market, an upscale food store in Fort Worth. He then went on to say that each person that shopped at Central Market and used a credit card or cashed a check would get a copy of the "Green Magazine." He found us he said after visiting with Central Market and they had given him our stores name.
We called Central Market and they had never heard of the "Green Magazine" or the National Advertising Center and assured us, they did not in any shape form or fashion keep a list of their customers mailing addresses via a credit card or check, and under no circumstances would they give any customers information out to any outside party.
We canceled the check we had written to the National Advertising Center. So if they approach you be very very careful and don't just read the fine print, read every line of the contract. They target small businesses with limited time and their approach is, "we only have a couple of these spots left", so they will need a decision as soon as possible.
