I am reporting a very bad problem with Vonage. This letter goes with a letter i read about the same exact thing in rip off the report # for the letter i read is 324528.
Ok here it is i received a call from vonage out of the blue one day offering 3 months free service and i could cancel anytime before those 3 months without getting charged. I never ended up using vonage so after one month and a week i decided to cancel they tell okay but you will be charged a cancelation fee plus charges for the device and some other BS charges. I flipped i told them i will not pay anything of the sort i want to cancel before my 3 month period i should not be getting charged they said i need to cancel within a month of service! (I was never informed this.) and then i wouldn't be charged. I told them what i was told about the 3 months and they didn't care i was still getting charged.
I also informed them i did not sign any 2 year contract and also did not agree over the phone about a 2 year contract. They did not mention anything about 2 years and if they did you cant understand them because everyone who works there can barley speak a lick of English!
I tried contacting 5 different people in corporate and no one answers and no one calls back i left many different messages informing them if this does not get resolved i will be filing a class action suit on them. When i told customer service this they said fine they did not care this company is the worst company i have ever dealt with i really want to file a suit so if there is any lawyers who would like to contact me i would appreciate it.
I would like to also thank Vtransf for posting the report that he posted and i wolud love for him to be part of the class action if possible. Here is a fun fact i received from Vtransf: Interesting fact: Jeffrey A. Citron the CEO of Vonage, was indicted for Securities Fraud in 2003.
