Found an "extra charge" from USBI on my Verizon phone bill. It was for $17.08 and consisted of a Federal Universal Service Fund, a Cheap2Dial Max Min Plan, a Bill Statement Fee, and State tax.
After contacting USBI they said they would send me a copy of an online application that was sent in from someone else using my phone #. I have called multiple times and so far nothing has been sent to me.
I spoke to Verizon today about the extra charges; they have sent in for a refund and told me not to pay the "extra" charge.
They are obligated to accept the charges from third party billers by law and apologized for the inconvenience.
