My husband has a cellular phone with AT &T corporation formerly Cingular for years. I signed up for service in the 1990's and they are getting worse and worse. I pay foe cell phone insurance every month however when it came time for my hp ipaq to be replaced they replaced it the first time with a $50 deductible before 2008 in which I paid, then later the replaced one broke they said it could not be replaced with the same one because they don't have that cell phone anymore.
My husband filled out the Asurion corporation form. They gave him such a hassle. Asurion said his picture was to dark, it had to be notarized, his wireless phone number, a copy of recent bill, date and description of occurrence, date equipment was damaged. They charged him again $125 deductible in which he paid however in 2008 he paid $50 deductible. It took almost a year just for him to get another cell phone however it's the tilt cell phone now.
Today we received AT &T Mobility bill and a insurance deductible is part of bill. They want him to pay $220.56. The employees at this corporation aren't good with accounting and doing their job. I'll be checking with BBB, FTC, Florida State Department to see what regulations are in place for wireless corporations / companies.
Too many mistakes are being made by this corp. And something should be done to protect consumers. A person shouldn't have to call their cell phone provider every month. AT &T had incorrect billing information on our home and internet service too. We canceled our home service but still have DS L lite. This service isn't working correct currently.
