I had a carpetwagon customer service rep come out and measure my new home for me to have carpet installed. After i noticed the way the "estimate" was done, i demanded a phone call back from my rep to get a "detailed" list of charges. They never called me back. So after i called back again (10 days went by) and wanted to cancel. Once they heard that, my phone was ringing like crazy.intresting isnt it? The So Cal Manager was the one who called me, i explained to him i never got the call back i had requested. And i went on to tell him that i wanted a detailed explanation of charges. He said that he would have the rep call me back. Again, here we are several days later and no call. No suprise. But during our conversation he told me that i cant cancel and that i would lose my deposit and on and on. That may be so. But i get the CLEAR perception that they do have something to hide. Not to mention the POOR service from them. If you ever buy from this shoddy outfit, i suggest that you get a detailed estimate and put down a very SMALL amount for a deposit on a credit card. I put a larger amount down. I have filed a cliam with my credit card company. So maters are now in their hands. Let's see what happens. I DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR CARPET FRIENDS! They are hiding things and get offended when you ask for a detailed estimate, not to mention all the broken promises.
