Claims Specialists International Another Innocent Victim

We've officially joined the list who got swindled by this corrupt company (companies?). We called Rebecca Wild of the State Attorney General's Office at 303-866-5187 and filed a Consumer Complaint Form, as she suggested, after our latest encounter with Claims Specialists Incorporated (CSI)/ K-2 Roofing or whatever they are called at present. I would suggest that everyone else who have been victims of these people do the same. The more of us who speak out the better chance we have of obtaining justice from these people.

We signed a contract with CSI on August 11 and have neither received the new roof we were promised nor even received a definite installation date.in the past 7 months we have occasionally talked to a myriad of company representatives (Michelle, Gretchen, Deana, Toyann, Melissa and Anna) and only received conflicting excuses when inquiring about the status of our roof installation. Many of these excuses we found out later were outright lies! Most of the time our phone calls were never returned.

We contacted Tom Martino the Troubleshooter and he and his crew were very helpful in providing us with information about these scam artists that we could not seem to get anywhere else.in late January we asked whether it was possible to get our first insurance check back and were told they would contact us with an answer in a few days. We were never contacted. We contacted them again in February with the same question and were told the same thing, only to be ignored once again. I called their office once again in early March and found the phones disconnected and heard later that they had vacated their office.

Our neighbors down the street are in the same situation as us. They somehow got Melissa King's phone number (720-220-2159) so I called it last week, since I had no other way to contact them. She was agitated that I had gotten her number and didn't mind telling me so. She referred me to Anna (K-2 Roofing's Accounting Manager). Anna wanted to know what my issue with their company was (like she didn't have a clue) and I explained that I was expecting a call back several weeks prior about getting our first insurance check back. She asked if I would rather have a new roof or my money back. I told her that after 7 months I was not convinced they would ever fulfill their part of the contract and that I would rather have my money back.

A few days later we received a check from Claims Specialists International (I thought they we K-2 Roofing now?) for about $200. They kept the rest of our insurcance company's money because in their minds "We did not honor the contract". We have not cashed the check yet, so we do not know if it is even good!

In summary, for 7 months Claims Specialists Incorporated (CSI)/ K-2 Roofing could not fullfill their contractural obligations, they could not give us an honest answer as to why, they never returned phone calls, they were not proactive, they had their phones shut off and vacated their office so nobody could contact them and in the end we, the customers, were the "bad guys" in their opinion! They stole almost $1,000 from our insurance company that we will have to pay back if we are ever to get a roof.

Some honest world we live in, huh?
