This company called my restaurant and asked one of my employees if they could authorize a recurring charge to my phone bill. They said that the employee had authority to do so and requested the "service".
Why in the world would a fast food restaurant need email fax services?
How could they allow just anyone who answers the phone to authorize a $49.95 per month charge to my phone?
However, when I asked that the charges be reversed, I was told that I needed to send them written notification. HOW ABSURD!!! These charges were VERBALLY authorized but they could not be reversed unless WRITTEN notification was received.
These people are disgusting THEIVES. And none of the staff has any shame in having this kind of job.
I promptly called AT&T to have a block put on all of my businesses so that no one except myself could authorize any charges from a third party. I would recommend that everyone who reads this to do the same. I also let AT&T know that I would be short paying my phone bill and I let them know how to apply the payment.By the way, the AT&T rep was EXCELLENT. It was refreshing to know that someone was trying to do business honestly.
