Last year in the course of planning our wedding at the Amelia Island Ritz Carlton, I was provided with a list of preferred photographers by the Ritz Carlton. My wedding planner, Shannon McHugh, encouraged me to use David Basher of a Magic Moment telling me that she had used him in various other weddings and would even be using him at her own wedding. Looking back, I should have seen the red flags and cancelled the contract. A contract was sent over to me via email which I signed and sent a check for the deposit. Thirty days later, I received a call from Magic Moment that they had lost the check and requested a replacement check (which I promptly provided). The week before my wedding, I still had not heard from David Basher the photographer, so I contacted the office multiple times before getting him on the phone. I wanted to give him a list of people that I wanted photos of at the wedding. Big waste of time since he did not take one of them. Immediately after the wedding, I was contacted about making full payment of the package. I was told upon making full payment, the photo proofs would be uploaded onto a website for viewing. I made full payment on April 12.. My wedding was April 5&then after numerous more telephone calls to Magic Moment, the proofs were posted on the website at the end of MAY. I had to request a hard copy of the proofs, upon which I selected the photos for my album and the two family albums I had ordered... After numerous emails and telephone calls, I finally was able to get David Basher on the telephone in September to find out where my albums and photos were as it had been 5 months since placing the order. I was told they had lost my order form and wanted me to re-select the photos... This was 5 months after placing the order, with no telephone call or email to let me know that they had lost the order and needed me to re-select... I had to track them down. I bite my tongue, went through the selection process AGAIN... And Now the last week in January, I emailed David Basher as to now its been 10 months since the wedding if I would recieve the album prior to our one year anniversary? It was at this time, he informed that I would owe an additional almost $300.00 if I wanted the album..in fact, he proposed to send the album via COD. Are you kidding? I have to wait 10 months for my albums and he is holding my albums hostage until I pay him an additional $300??? My husband and I reported David Basher to the Ritz Carlotn as well to have him removed from the preferred photographer list... Brides BEWARE. This was a nightmare and apparently a game he is used to playing.
