I had 4 packages stolen off of my porch on Wednesday the 17th of Dec, one of which was from buy.com. After contacting Fedex and the local authorities, I began contacting the vendors. However, Buy.com does NOT have a contact phone number any where on their site. They do indeed have a support number, but you have to google to high and hell to find it. And when you call it, you'll know why they don't post the number. I was on hold for 2 hours before I gave up. The next day I tried again and after a mere 1.5 hours this time, I got a hold of someone who clearly barely spoke English and told me they couldn't help me and to go back to the website to submit a claim. So I did. The day after Christmas I got an automated response saying they would look into my claim, and then late the same night another email saying they would refund the purchase. It took about a week to post to my credit card. And while I am happy that I didn't lose out on any money or have to dispute anything with Visa, however the email-only customer service, them not offering to reship or provide a comparable product, and being brushed off by their phone support have taught me a lesson. Buy.com is not for me.
